UK EIA Transposition Consultations – What you need to know
A series of co-ordinated EIA consultations was launched across the UK in Mid-December by DCLG, DEFRA, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish Governments. The consultations set out how many of the UK’s EIA regimes will transpose the 2014 amendments to the EU EIA Directive. This webinar will help you understand the proposed amendments across planning (England and Northern Ireland), Development Consent Orders (mainly England & Wales), plus: land drainage, water resources, forestry, marine works and agricultural land.
Josh Fothergill, IEMA’s IA Policy Lead will provide you with a review across the proposals discussing potential challenges and highlighting growing differences between the UK’s EIA regimes.
