The Environment Agency has updated its guidance on standard permits for a number of industry sectors
The Agency has updated its guidance for the following industries, sectors and sites:
- low-impact Part A installations;
- combustion of biogas in engines at sewage treatment works;
- composting biodegradable waste;
- composting biodegradable waste in open and contained systems;
- composting in open systems; and
- composting in closed systems.
It has also issued guidance on the amendments to the environmental permitting regime – the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2012 – that came into force on 6 April. In addition, the agency has published updated guidance on when electrical and electronic equipment is considered waste and the controls that apply.
