The Single Use Carrier Bags Charges (England) Order 2015 introduce a charge of 5p for single use carrier bags in England. The order also provides for a supporting enforcement regime. The order defines single use carrier bags and those excluded from the charge. Sellers are required to maintain records under the scheme, which must be supplied to the Secretary of State annually and retained for at least three years.
