The Nitrates Action Programme Regulations 2014

The Nitrates Action Programme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014 provide for the application of action programmes to address high nitrate levels in ground and surface waters. These programmes impose requirements on the management of fertilisers and manures to minimise impacts on controlled waters.

These regulations also revoke and replace the Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003.
