IEMA ran a series of EIA in Practice workshops and webinars to keep members informed about developing areas of practice and also on progress with the EIA Directive review.

Each workshop provided delegates with:

  • Key messages from the 3rd edition of the Guidelines for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (GLVIA3), including delegate discussion.
  • IEMA update on EIA, covering: EIA Directive & IEMA’s Position, progress on regulatory / guidance updates across the devolved administrations, implications of recent ECJ case law.
  • EIA Quality Mark Case studies, sharing recent practical experience of EIA and providing opportunity for discussion (including: AECOM, ERM, Mott MacDonald, Mouchel, LDA Design, etc).

These workshops provided a focussed opportunity to get up-to-speed on a number of developing areas of both EIA regulation and practice.
