Four Footprints Measuring resource consumption across products, organisations and countries
We’ve invited Julian Kirby (Friends of the Earth - FoE) in for this month’s sustainable resource management webinar, to explain the Four Footprints technique, used to measure resource consumption. The webinar explained the concepts behind this approach and outline the reasons for the four footprint areas: Land, Water, Material and Carbon.
The webinar also included an outline of the findings of IEMA’s 2nd election poll – which focussed on sustainable resource management – and discuss how key action areas are being considered by the parties, such as the next Government creating an Office of Resource Management (ORM) and delivering a ‘Stern for Resources’. The webinar ended with a brief question and answer session.
