However, transitioning a circular economy is not without its challenges, particularly for small businesses. With climate emergencies declared across the world, businesses are under intense pressure to improve the environmental performance of their operations. The circular economy allows businesses to act in a more sustainable manner, whilst both gaining an economic advantage in their sector and building resilience. However, transitioning a circular economy is not without its challenges, particularly for small businesses.

This session explores looks at understanding how the Circular Economy can support businesses across the supply chain to find a competitive edge. We were joined by some of Scotland’s leading adopters of the circular economy who shared how they identified opportunities and implemented ideas effectively and the results they have achieved.
