CE Design – Getting it right from the start

12th May 2021

This webinar gave an overview of emerging circular design strategies with a discussion from industry experts on how to embed material circularity at the design stage, and the business benefits that this brings.

When something is designed important decisions are made that impact how it is manufactured, how it is used, and what happens when it is no longer needed or wanted. Considering and embedding Circular Economy design aspects at the beginning a process can extend the life cycle of products, packaging and materials.

This webinar looked at:

- An overview of emerging circular design strategies;

- An understanding of the business benefits for organisations that are embracing circular design and ‘getting it right from the start’

- Presentation from industry experts on how to do it & why you should do it.

Speakers included:

  • Sophie Thomas, Thomas.Matthews
  • Susanne Baker, techUK
  • Jonathan Perry, Dell
  • Andy Whyle, Chair of the IEMA Circular Economy Network, Independent consultant
  • Marc Jourdan, IEMA (Moderator)
