Achieving more in Sustainable Resource Management
February’s Sustainable Resource Management webinar provided advice from two organisations that focus on helping other businesses deliver greater progress than they are currently achieving in their approach to sustainable resource management.
Brian Marshall (Reconomy) provided examples of how his organisation enables the companies they work with to free up their time to develop innovative solutions and engaging everyone in improving resource management. One of the ways this can be achieved is by improvements to systems to manage data and reporting related to resource consumption and waste production. As identified in our 2014 report data and reporting are a key system to focus on in moving from waste to resource thinking in an organisation.
Our second speaker - Ellen Jones - from Constructing Excellence Wales provided examples of the work her organisation does with the sector to drive knowledge, progress and innovation to improve the sustainable use of resources across construction.
