Environmental protection - Wales
The Wales Act 2017 transfers various powers to the Welsh Assembly relating to energy and the environment. These powers relate to activities including licencing of marine activities, marine conservation and energy consenting, consenting for sewage projects, onshore oil and gas extraction and coal-mining licencing and the inclusion of excepted energy infrastructure to the Building regulations. Excepted energy infrastructure means buildings forming part of energy infrastructure.
