Planning - Scotland
The Town and Country Planning (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2015 modify a range of legislation concerning wildlife protection, environmental impact assessment and planning procedure in Scotland.
The definition of ‘European Site’ under the Conservation (Natural Habitats, &c.) Regulations 1994 is updated in relation to sites under the Birds Directive (1979/409/EEC).
The Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2011 are amended to reflect the implementation of the EIA Directive (2011/92/EU). Further amendments clarify EIA duties, definitions and requirements for the EIA process. To support these changes, a range of legislation is amended to clarify time periods for the determination of multi-stage EIA applications.
