The Sulphur Content of Liquid Fuels (Scotland) Regulations 2014

13 November 2014

Emissions to air

The Sulphur Content of Liquid Fuels (Scotland) Regulations 2014 implement requirements under the Sulphur content of certain liquid fuels Directive (1999/32/EC), as amended by Directive 2012/33/EU. Revised provisions concern land-based consumption of heavy fuel oil and gas oil. Sulphur content limits for these fuels are unchanged, unless used in certain large combustion plants. The limits do not apply to heavy fuel and gas oils used in research and testing, processing prior to final combustion and processing in refineries.
