The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014 introduce a renewable heat incentive scheme for domestic properties. Subsidy payments are provided to owners of biomass plants, heat pumps or solar thermal plants which are used to supply heat to domestic properties. To receive the incentive, plant must meet eligibility criteria given and have been installed on or after 1 September 2010. New build properties (unless self-build) are excluded.
