Environmental protection - Scotland
The Building (Energy Performance of Buildings) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2016 inserts new requirements into the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004. The new requirements state that all new buildings must be ‘nearly zero energy buildings’ and inspection of air conditioning systems must now also include inspection of ‘all accessible parts’. The maximum period between inspections should now not exceed five years.
