The Renewables Obligation Closure Order 2014 includes arrangements for the closure of the renewables obligation scheme on 31 March 2017. This draft legislation prohibits further renewables obligation certificates (ROCs) from being issued from this date. The Order also allows further ROCs to be issued beyond this date during an extension under a restricted range of circumstances, including where grid works for accredited generating stations were delayed by the network operator.
