Consultation ends: 24 March 2016
The Northern Ireland Environment Agency’s current regulatory charging policy expires in this month and the environment department is consulting on a replacement setting out charging arrangements for 2016–21. Under the proposals, and in line with the previous charging policies, regulatory fees and charges may be increased by the GDP deflator rate forecast for the financial years 2016/17 to 2020/21 for a number of schemes. GDP deflator is a measure of price changes in a country over a specific period and is used in economics to account for inflation.
