Great Britain - climate change/emissions to air
The Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2015 revoke and replace the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2009, and support the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gas Regulation (EU) No 517/2014. The new regulations are broadly similar to the 2009 regulations, but update enforcement provisions and the list of offences to reflect the EU Regulation. Enforcement notices may be issued to companies failing to comply , and unlawfully imported gases may be impounded.
Part III of the regulations specifies competency obligations for specified operations involving fluorinated greenhouse gases. Employers are required to employ suitably qualified employees. Certification bodies are required to provide details of certificates issued on request within 14 days.
