Guidance on minimum energy efficiencies for non-domestic buildings has been published.
The guidance, for landlords and enforcement authorities, advises on the minimum level of energy efficiency required to let non-domestic property under the Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015, produced by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.
The minimum level of energy efficiency provisions start to apply from 1 April 2018 and are intended to tackle the least energy efficient properties in England and Wales – those rated F or G on their energy performance certificate.
