In this World Environment Day, we discussed the research trends around Air Pollution and what is happening locally to address this ongoing issue.
This event welcomed:
Sanja Potgieter-Vermaak (Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University) giving an overview of their research into Air Pollution with an insight into some of the issues that have yet to become mainstream. She will also look at how we start to look at these differently. (Slides available here)
Amy Stidworthy (Principal Consultant at Cambridge Environmental Research Consultants (CERC) Ltd) forecasting Air Quality in Manchester using ADMS-Urban (Slides available here)
Megan Black (Interim Head of Logistics and Environment for Transport for Greater Manchester0 presenting the Greater Manchester Clean Air proposals. Greater Manchester’s 10 local authorities are working together with TfGM to address illegal levels of N02 in the shortest possible time period.
