Legal Update: Suez vs Environment Agency judicial review claim concerning reviews and appeals in relation to Compliance Assessment Report (CAR) forms

In this webinar, IEMA Fellow Simon Colvin, a partner with the law firm Weightmans, outlined the requirements for CAR forms in relation to sites governed by Environment Permits as well as some of the challenges in relation to CAR forms and the sometimes subjective nature of the assessments.

Simon then hosted a fireside chat with Sam Riggs of 25 Bedford Row, one of the lead barristers acting for Suez in relation to the case in which Suez successfully argued that there should be an effective merits based review process where an operator wishes to challenge a CAR form.
