Join this webinar and to get involved in IEMA’s leading edge Climate Change campaign from the very start.
This kick-off webinar is the first from a programme of information sharing opportunities and events taking place against the unfolding backdrop of the Paris International Climate talks in late 2015. COP21 however is not our focus; this is a programme - developed by Members for Members - to help mobilise professionals to create action on climate change issues.
What you will learn
This special edition 75-minutes webinar will:
- Present a strategic view of global macro trends; how they relate to climate risk and the imperative for action
- Introduce this Member-led programme, outlining opportunities for the rest of 2015
- Describe the growing IEMA Climate Change and Energy network and invite you to contribute
- Debate priorities and opportunities for our profession – what is our contribution towards a low carbon and climate resilient future?
Your Presenters
- Jae Mather Director of the Carbon Free Group (and IEMA fellow)
- Nick Blyth, IEMA policy & engagement Lead (MIEMA)
This webinar will also feature a number of guest professionals from IEMA’s developing Climate Change and Energy Network.
PS: This is a member led programme for action on climate change developed by our Climate Change and Energy Network (a growing community which currently has 250 members). This campaign and programme has been shaped with topics initially scoped by a small steering group and further distilled through surveys with the network. The programme is also supported by an initiative to build our climate change portal with network members contributing a range of examples, resources and case studies. It also includes a campaign seeking IEMA member signatories to Live Earth’s petition to capture one billion voices for action on climate change.
