Dr. David Arku is the Vice-President of IOSH, and the Chair of the IOSH-Ghana District of the IOSH West Africa Branch. As well, he is the former Vice President of the Ghana Institute of Safety and Environmental Professionals (GhISEP).

He has over 10 years of Medical Practice experience covering various locations in Ghana including Accra, Kumasi, Kenyasi, New Abirem, Ho and Aflao.

He possess over 8 years of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental/Sustainability experience in the Mining, Oil and Gas, and Healthcare sectors. He is a Certified Safety Professional-CSP (BCSP, USA) and a Certified Examining Doctor of Oil and Energy UK (OEUK, formerly Oil and Gas UK-OGUK)

He is an approved NEBOSH Trainer for all Health and Safety and Environmental/Sustainability Management courses, both Certificate and Diploma, as well as Certified PECB Trainer for ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification
