IEMA's Deputy CEO and Director of Policy & External Affairs, Martin Baxter commented on upcoming leadership candidates and ministerial appointments:
“It is critical that the next Prime Minister and cabinet has a clear-cut focus on the transition to a net zero future and tackling the country’s wider environmental challenges, which we know resonate positively with the public. Solutions to the cost-of-living crisis include the rapid deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency – we need a Prime Minister who will translate climate ambition into action and support the delivery of well-paid UK green jobs.”
