The Climate Change Partnership for Yorkshire and Humber has launched its Regional Adaptation Study, commissioned to look at what climate change impacts the region may face and also what needs to be done to tackle those impacts.

As well as considering sectoral impacts, some common themes were identified, as were potential issues that could block progress on adaptation.

A website at http://www.adaptyh.co.uk/home.htm provides background information on the project, as well as a pdf of the executive summary.

The Partnership has also recently updated its Climate Change Action Plan, which sets out how the region should address climate change from both mitigation and adaptation perspectives.
