London Mayor Boris Johnson published on 25 November his 'London climate change adaptation strategy - draft'. The strategy sets out his proposed priorities including: work with London boroughs so Londoners can access to "zero upfront cost" energy efficiency measures; investment in Combined Heat & Power; expansion of the Building Energy Efficiency Programme to all public sector buildings; 10 new Low Carbon Zones; incentives for recycling schemes such as Recycle Bank; investment in improving green spaces and parks; 10,000 new street trees; and a New York style "101" number providing a one-stop information source for public services, and for reporting non-emergency problems such as fly tipping and graffiti.
