The London Assembley Environment Committee has responded to the Mayor's consultation on the draft revisions to the Transport and Air Quality strategies.

The response outlines its support for action to improve London’s air quality that is carefully planned, practicable and sustainable. The response also calls for:

  1. Action at national level to support the Mayor's LEZ initiative
  2. A clear target date for when London might expect to met the European Union objectives
  3. Greater clarity on the costs of implementing the London Low Emission Zone
  4. Evidence of greater consultation with businesses
