Over the last five years the Liveable City Awards have grown to become the most prestigious awards of their type in the UK, attracting entries from both multinational companies and small community groups. The Liveable City Awards explore work across the three pillars of sustainable development, the environment, social issues and the economy, through eight specific award categories.

One organisation also receives the title of overall winner for 2005.
