Michael has over 25 years of Sustainability, CSR and HSE management experience with roles in corporates, consultancies, and NGOs. His competence covers various sectors including power and renewable energy, construction and the built environmental, real estate and professional services. With this broad range of management and technical expertise he focuses on synthesising technical and social issues to deliver practical cost-effective people-centric solutions.
Trained as a Mechanical Engineer and with a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) has worked within corporate, consultancy and NGO roles. Michael has been awarded Fellow status of IEMA and IIRSM plus is a Chartered Environmentalist. He is a certified Executive Coach with a proven track record of developing and scaling teams to match aggressive expansion and project targets. Over his career he has become multi-cultural, having worked, and lived in Southern Africa, the UK, and the Middle East.
He is a Director at Earth Active which is an Environmental and Social governance consultancy based in the UK working with DFIs, Financial Institutions and Infrastructure Owners across developing countries. Besides family life and hobbies, Michael is a mindfulness practitioner and avid amateur cook.
