In a career as an environmental professional spanning 30 years, Lucy has worked for a local authority, conservation and urban regeneration charities, technical consultancy, big-4 accounting firm; and has founded two boutique sustainability advisory companies. In addition to the UK, she has worked across Europe and spent 4.5 years based in South East Asia.

By original training an ecologist and specialist in land management with hands on experience in habitat management and conservation, Lucy’s experience spans policy, strategy, management systems and non-financial accounting, reporting and assurance – with a focus on integrating environmental management and sustainability into organisational strategy, risk and governance processes.

Since 2000, she has been active in the field of climate change and emissions accounting; working on all the UK’s voluntary and regulated schemes (eg ETS, CRC etc) as well as programmes in Europe, South Korea, China and the USA. She co-chairs the UK’s Emissions Trading Group Working Group on Monitoring, Reporting, Verification and Accreditation; as well as contributing to regulation and guidance developed in Brussels.
