Jo works to build capacity and capability in sustainability across organisations and at an individual level, working for the Environment Agency, the University of Derby Online and also as an independent consultant and trainer.

Jo’s interest areas lie on boundaries: where people meet nature; where environment meets business; where techniques meet disciplines. Her experience covers flood risk management, impact assessment, structured learning frameworks, continual improvement, supply chain management / sustainable procurement, organisational sustainability, strategy development and academia.

An active IEMA volunteer for many years, Jo was formerly a Regional Committee Chair, a member of the Council and also the Professional Standards Committee in its previous formation. She is also a member of the Impact Assessment Network Steering Group and has contributed to many IEMA publications and events.
