Jeremy has 20+ years experience in environmental assessment and management across multiple sectors and countries. Having started as an environmental clerk of works on construction sites, his professional career has included working for South African Government, where he was responsible for shaping and implementing environmental assessment policy and practice. He has worked on numerous secondments to help mining, port, rail and water companies understand and meet their environmental requirements in line with international and national standards, and has led numerous environmental and planning projects. As Technical Director and Environmental Assessment Practice Lead at Mott MacDonald, Jeremy drives technical excellence and continued improvement for the delivery of environmental assessments. His aim being to change environmental practitioners from being environmental assessors to environmental influencers.
