The inclusion of the terms Competent Experts and Sufficient Expertise are perhaps the most intriguing and unclear aspects of the 2014 amendments to the EIA Directive and have certainly generated much interest amongst IEMA members and the EIA community. This webinar will see a panel of IEMA members explain: what is in the directive the basis of understanding the difference between competence and expertise perspectives from the EIA consultancy and local authority side of the requirements of Article 5(3) The role that IEMA’s existing EIA Quality Mark and EIA Register will play will also be explored before opening up the session to member questions and comment.
