Part of IEMA’s World Environment Day activities and hosted by IEMA’s Nick Blyth, this webinar welcomed Pat Snowdon from Scottish Forestry who provided an overview of the Woodland Carbon Code, a voluntary standard for the creation of new woodland. We looked at the wider benefits of woodland creation (including the creation of flood defences), the opportunities of nature based solutions including sustainable finance (and some of the possible barriers) and how we can include these activities in building a green recovery.
