We are in a Climate and Environmental Emergency. The UK Government has committed to bring all greenhouse gas emissions to Net Zero by 2050 and the environmental sector must take a leadership role in delivering this transition to a net zero carbon economy.
This is where Pledge to Net Zero comes in. The initiative is led by six leading environmental organisations – Society for the Environment, IEMA, the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), AECOM, the Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) and WSP.
By signing up to the pledge, signatories commit to tackling carbon emissions within their own organisations and to publicly report on their progress against this target each year.
This webinar is about providing the information, advice and guidance to help organisations make the pledge. It covers: the full pledge requirements; how to calculate a carbon footprint and science-based target and the timescale involved for setting and reporting on your target. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
This webinar counts for 1 hour of CPD, so don’t forget to add it to your IEMA CPD Portal. This can be accessed through your member account on iema.net.
