PAS 2080 specifies requirements for the management of whole-life carbon in buildings and infrastructure. The 2013 revision enables users to develop their expertise with carbon management and increase confidence and trust in their practice. More broadly, it will encourage a wider uptake and action on whole life carbon management and will help the sector adapt to a low-carbon future. It helps organizations within the built environment to understand the impact of their assets on the wider network as well as their alignment to the net zero transition at the system level; revealing its interdependencies and encouraging early collaboration; defining roles and responsibilities and integrating decision-making and procurement processes when delivering projects and programmes of work. Attendees signed up to hear how to get the best out of this new guidance.
