Yesterday (Wednesday 19th January) bought IEMA's first conference of 2011 to almost 200 environmental practitioners, researchers, academics and decision makers together to discuss and debate innovative environmental research.
The conference, held at Kings House Conference Centre in central Manchester, had a decidedly focussed atmosphere and, as a result of the debates and discussions, achieved some valuable conclusions.
Knowledge exchange, described as a "contact sport" in the closing session of the day, is vital to the progression of the profession and IEMA would like to thank Envirolink Northwest for their support in making this event happen.
A full review of the IEMA Knowledge Exchange 2011 will feature in Issue 111 of 'the environmentalist', published on 21st February.
