WYG Environment, on behalf of Defra, is running a project to determine the effectiveness of certified EMS at delivering business and environmental benefits. The aggregated results of this study will be published and shared widely to ensure maximum impact in increasing EMS uptake in the UK and beyond. Companies from a range of sectors with accreditation to Phase 3 of the Acorn Scheme or above are being sought to participate in the project. Key outputs from the project will be: Quantification of achieved environmental and financial savings on an aggregated and individual company basis; and Lessons learned about the barriers and benefits for EMS implementation. Companies from a range of sectors with a certified EMS (i.e. ISO 14001, EMAS or BS 8555/Acorn Phase 3 and above) are being sought to participate in the project. If you are interested in participating with the research please contact Paul Burr at WYG, [email protected].
