'Improving the efficiency of central Government'

The National Audit Office published on 28 November 'Improving the efficiency of centralgovernment's office property' which calculates that the Government's civil estate costs GBP6bn per year to run and estimates that GBP330m of efficiency savings could be made. The report is critical of the Government's approach to environmental issues saying that out of the 877 buildings surveyed there was no data available on energy consumption for 265 of them or on the presence of a recycling scheme in 544 of them.
