GREENPEACE has slammed the AUSTRALIAN Budget as failing once again to make any mention of climate change. Greenpeace Australia campaigns manager Danny Kennedy said climate change was the most important environmental issue of our times.

"I am actually angry about this budget. I am angry for my children and for middle Australia who are going to suffer these impacts from climate change," he said.

Mr Kennedy said an ounce of prevention in this budget would have been a hell of a lot better than the cures required in years to come.

"We will thank the Howard Government for failing to invest just some of this money in the renewable energy industries and the other solutions we have ready off the shelf right now," he said.

"It has been a non-event for the environment. They have failed to address the only issue that matters."
