Sunday 5 June is World Environment Day (WED). This United Nations campaign, which runs all over the world, encourages individuals and businesses to take steps to protect the environment. By pledging to make small changes to daily routines, everyone can help cut carbon emissions, save water and benefit the planet.

The Environment Agency is promoting WED in the UK, and it has produced a list of suggested pledges that can make a difference. These can be personal pledges, or if you run a business you can pledge to make changes at work to make your organisation more environmentally friendly.
