Episode 1: Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE

A brand new podcast series from IEMA about ideas, challenges and hope for the planet, including conversations with experts in the fields of technology, conservation, sustainability, food, finance and nature.

Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE is a maths whizz - famously passing her maths A level at 11 years old.

Ten years ago, she founded the Stemettes, a social enterprise working to inspire and support girls, young women and non-binary people in STEM and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) careers.

She passionately believes that technology can help with the sustainability mission if we invite everyone in to think about how.

Anne Marie is president of the British Science Association and was voted the most influential woman in tech in the UK in 2020. She was awarded an MBE in 2017 for her work as a renowned champion and inspiration for women in the world STEM.

Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon is an international speaker, current president of the British Science Association and was voted the most influential woman in tech in the UK in 2020. She founded and is CEO of Stemmettes, a social enterprise set up to encourage more women and non-binary people into STEM careers. Dr Imafidon hosts the hugely popular Women Tech Charge Podcast for the Evening Standard.

A respected thought-leader in the tech space and trustee at the Institute for the Future of Work, Anne-Marie was awarded an MBE in 2017 for her work as a renowned champion and inspiration for women in the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
