Richard Nugee

Lieutenant General Richard Nugee was commissioned into the Army in 1986. He completed operational tours of Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Cyprus and Afghanistan. He also specialised in personnel (HR) roles culminating in Chief of Defence People. He spent his final year writing a Review of Defence's approach to Climate Change and Sustainability and is now the Non-Executive Director for Climate Change for Defence.  He is Chair of the NAAFI Board, Director of his own Strategic Advisory Company, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute and is Patron, Chair and Trustee of a number of organisations.   

Oluwakemi Ajakaiye

Kemi is an environmental sustainability professional with 16 years’ experience in consultancy, strategy and advisory roles. She has spearheaded the process of radically transforming organisations into environmentally conscious, responsible, and sustainable companies across the manufacturing, power generation and distribution sectors in Nigeria among others. Kemi is currently immersed in corporate sustainability, circular economy, and green growth implementation and Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting; she is the Nigeria Chapter Lead of African Circular Economy Network (ACEN).   Kemi is dedicated to joining forces with different professionals and interested individuals to continually better the environment; she is intentional about mentoring and capacity building for upcoming professionals.
