I'm Matt and I'm entering the last couple months of my History and Politics degree at the University of Sheffield (though I'll be moving back to Solihull once I've finished).

I joined the IEMA after becoming of aware of the great work the organisation does during a voluntary role with Green Impact in my second year of uni. Wanting to get involved in the community and learn more about the challenges and solutions related to sustainability, I bought a student membership.

I'd love to undertake a corporate graduate role in sustainability but realised, through application processes, that I need a bit more than enthusiasm, a good basis of general knowledge and some limited experience.

This is what has pushed me to take a more hands on approach with the IEMA to bridge the gap in my qualifications, enhancing my career prospects and contributing to work that can help to transform society.
