About Justine

I am an environmental, compliance & risk management advisor whose diligence and tenacity has led to the implementation of an environmental management system and an enterprise risk management framework based on ISO 14001 and ISO 31000 standard respectively. I have successfully supported the management of numerous projects to ensure compliance requirements are met and advised on the management of environmental risks for major capital expenditure projects and day-to-day operations in Trinidad’s oil and gas sector. I currently hold ISO 31000 Risk Analyst Certification and I am a trained ISO 14001 Lead Auditor. I also possess a Master of Science degree from the University of the West Indies in Biodiversity Conservation & Caribbean Sustainability Development. When not building and implementing management systems, I can be found exercising, sitting with a good book, or teaching myself to crochet!

About Jason

I have always loved the outdoors growing up in the country which led me to pursue a BSc in Environmental Management. After graduating, I worked for a local oil company in their Health, Safety, and Environment department which exposed me to several aspects of environmental management and motivated me to complete my MSc in Environmental Technology. It was during my MSc that I really developed a passion for sustainability and joined IEMA in 2009. Since then, I have held various environmental-related roles at BP, supporting operations both in Trinidad and Aberdeen. In my current role, I am responsible for embedding sustainability into the very front end of projects. I am keen to build a strong network of sustainable professionals locally as I believe we can be a powerful force to transform Trinidad and Tobago to become more sustainable, partnering with both the private and public sectors.
