Jenna-Marie (Jen) Smallwood has both a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a focus on Environmental Studies and Legal Studies and a LLM in Global Environment and Climate Change Law.
Having lived, studied, and been actively involved in environmental advocacy work in both South Africa and the USA, she is now excited to have the opportunity to be more actively involved in the environmental advocacy work currently being done in the UK.
Her experience has solidified the notion of thinking global but acting local as she believes this is the key to making the swift, sweeping, and sustainable actions needed to meet IEMA’s goal of transforming the world to sustainability.
