This series of IEMA Futures events gives you the opportunity to share, debate and discuss topical environment and sustainability issues. Each session is led by a volunteer who is discussing a topic that's important to them, sharing their thoughts, views and insights. We’ll then open up the floor for a discussion. So come along to learn, ask questions and network with other young and early-career professionals.

This time, Sam will be giving us a basic overview of Nuclear Decommissioning, including aspects of what it means, why it’s done, how it’s done, and some of the problems / challenges that we have doing it. This will include some insight from the UK’s Nuclear Decommissioning sector, including what it means to be a young professional in the sector.

This event is ideal for anyone with an interest in the environmental challenges associated with remediating the country’s nuclear legacy, young professionals looking to start a career in the sector, or anyone with a degree of curiosity.

The Futures Network is the network for IEMA's students, graduates, and early-career professionals. Find out more here.
