James has over 20 experience in environment and sustainability and is currently self employed as a sustainability consultant and trainer.

James has had over 8 years experience of delivering IEMA accredited training courses including the senior management, Leading with Environmental Sustainability and the IEMA Diploma in Sustainable Business Practices as well as designing and delivering bespoke training courses.

James has held a variety of site based roles within the brewing industry including Environment Manager and Group Sustainability Manager where he was responsible for day to day management of the environmental management system and as part of that designed and delivered awareness and more specialist training to over 300 staff.

James has also held roles with the manufacturers’ organisation Make UK, latterly as National Sustainability Lead leading the delivery of the environmental training programme.
