March 2019 legislation updates for the UK.

The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Amendment) Regulations 2019 (SI 2019 No. 492) implement Directive (EU) 2017/2102, which amends Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The Regulations make various amendments in relation to the second-hand sale of electrical equipment; the repair or upgrade of equipment that falls within the scope of the 2011 Directive after July 2019; an inadvertent ban on new pipe organs being placed on the EU market; and the different treatment of cord connected non-road mobile machinery.
