The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Amendment) (England) Order 2011 amends Part 40 of Sch. 2 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 and relates to the installation of electric vehicle charging points and certain microgeneration equipment. Article 2(2) creates permitted development rights for the installation, alteration or replacement of electric vehicle charging points in off-street car parks and came into force on 1 October. Article 2(4) confers permitted development rights for the installation of specified types of microgeneration equipment and comes into force on 1 December 2011.
The Town and Country Planning (Compensation) (England) Regulations 2011 revoke the 2010 Regulations and concern the payment of compensation in certain cases where planning permission is withdrawn. Regulations 2(f) and 6 come into force on 1 December 2011. The Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 place controls on the display of advertisements.
