Planning legislation in England
On April 6 a suite of regulations and orders with regards the planning regime in England were enforced.

Planning - England
The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 enable a new statutory regime for neighbourhood planning, as required by the Localism Act 2011.
The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 provide for a system of local development planning as required by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
The Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation) (England) Regulations 2012 revoke and replace the 1999 Regulations.
The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) (Amendment) Order 2012 amends the 2010 Order.
The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Amendment) (England) Order 2012 amends the 1995 Order.
The Town and Country Planning (Compensation) (England) Regulations 2012 replace the 2011 Regulations.
The Planning Act 2008 (Commencement No.2) (England) Order 2012 brings into force provisions of the Planning Act 2008.
